CBS Outdoor is part of the CBS Corporation, a family which encompasses a global Outdoor network, radio interests, TV programming and distribution as well as a portfolio of interactive websites.
CBS Outdoor is the market leading ‘out of home’ specialist in the UK, offering the best outdoor advertising solutions with a UK wide selection of poster sites, the entire London Underground network, a nationwide Bus portfolio, National Rail opportunities and exclusive Shopping Centres.
We were drafted in during one of their busiest periods in order to help design and produce a set of tender documents for one of the companies largest clients, Arriva buses. The aim was to convey that rather than moving to a competitor to handle all of their advertising needs, Arriva should stick with the tried and trusted CBS Outdoor.
For this project, we took the ‘people’ angle, and designed a series of themed brochure documents in various colours that would put across that with CBS you weren’t just getting the products, but also the expertise and the personal services of the people who could offer their undoubted experience to the business.
These brochures were then presented within a bespoke ‘box’ style packaging, of which ten were made and sent to the CEO’s of Arriva to consider in time for the presentation. CBS won the pitch, which was a great success for them and of course us, and we were then asked to return just a few weeks later in order design a smaller, but equally important tender document for First Capital Connect Trains.
